Feeding Street Children in the Philippines

Feeding Street Children in the Philippines

Mosaic International trustees are very engaged with their programme and objectives. One of these objectives is feeding street children in the Philippines. Mosaic International is currently involved in feeding children in remote mountain areas and will provide a further £125.00 sponsorship for November 2018.

On 25 May 2018 Mosaic International trustees attended a workshop organised by the Charity Commission at the Professional Development Centre, 229 Bethnal Green Rd, London E2 6AB – London.

And on 7 June trustees will attend a workshop organised by the charity commission.  The workshop aims to provide advice and guidance on legal requirements and best practice to charities operating in such areas, and discuss how to apply these practically in complex working environments.

The following topics will be covered:

Charity trustees and their duties in the context of international work. Risk assessment of international work and due diligence when working with other organisations. Monitoring and reporting the proper end use of charitable funds.  Moving and receiving funds safely in the UK and internationally. Managing your charity’s reputation when working internationally.

The workshop will give the trustees the tools for risk assessment and the knowledge to face the challenges within their international work in different parts of the world.
